Sophia Wallace’s photography captures views from the margins, illuminating underground subjects and distant landscapes with candid sensitivity. Wallace holds B.A. in Government from Smith College, and later received her Master’s Degree in Photography, graduating with honors from New York University and the International Center of Photography. Born in Seattle, Wallace’s highly politicized upbringing surrounded her with influential community organizers, public school teachers, and independent artists, together inspiring her honest and respectful lens. Coupled with the experience of living on three continents, Wallace approaches her subject matter from multiple angles -with a frame both expository and reflective.
