Άδάμας (pronounced Adamas is a Greek word meaning “unconquerable”) is, to my knowledge, the first anatomically correct sculpture of the clitoris. To make it I had to consult widely divergent images, as so few accurate representations of the true anatomy are available.  At first, I imagined the sculpture suspended from the ceiling. As I developed it further, I realized that I wanted the sculpture to stand face to face with viewers. To be viewed as a subject after being absent for so long.
